How the Roofing Process Works
The Whole Roofing Process Laid Out So You Don't Have to Worry.
Find Your Roofing Contractor
Find the right roofing contractor, get your estimates, contract and start date.
Before Re-Roofing Begins
Before the date of the removal and installation of your new roof, what to expect and what to do.
During Roof Replacement
What will happen during the roofing process, from protection to removal and installation.
After Roof Installation
With your new roof on your home, it's time to relax, get your warranty and enjoy the new work.
Stage 1: It all starts with finding the right Roofing Contractor
While you’re looking for your roofing contractor, you’ll want to check their reviews and any references they have, as well as their certifications. Don’t go for a general contractor, as you want to make sure you get a professional roofing company who can warranty their work properly.
Finding & Calling Your Local Roofing Contractor
Get Roofing Estimates & Meet Contractors
During the estimate, you are not required to be present for the evaluation, measurement and estimate of your roof. It’s generally recommended that you get three estimates (just make sure one of them is from Infinite Roofing!).
The owner of the roofing company or sales manager should go over with you on the variety of asphalt shingles available, the color and style you’d like as well as the brand type of manufacturer.

Contract & Estimate is Sent
Once the type and quality of the shingle roof is determined, you’ll be left with an accurate estimate taking into account the amount of squares your roof is (roofing terminology for 100 square feet), a timeline for completion and a contract. Two copies are left for you to look over.
Stage 2: Before Re-Roofing Begins

Sign Contract & Hire Roofing Contractor
After you’ve decided on the best roofing contractor to fulfill your job, you’ll want to sign the contract, which officially starts the “hiring” of the roofing company and both protects you and your price point for the scope of work.

50% Deposit Due Before Start
Once the roofing company is hired, 50% deposit is due before the official start of work to order your materials and supplies needed for the new roof install, in addition to fees like building permits required by local municipalities. We accept checks, cash, credit cards, ACH transfers and financing agreements.

Job Date Set & Confirmation
The date for your new roof replacement is officially on the books, and you will receive an email notice or phone call 3 days in advance of when work will begin to confirm the date. It is recommended to keep your car out of the driveway if possible during the day of install to protect it from any accidental debris.

Work Starts
Congratulations! It’s the day of your roofing project and you’re about to say goodbye to those old shingles. The Infinite Roofing crew will arrive on time to begin the prep work before any removal of the old shingles.

Stage 3: During Roof Replacement - What Happens?

Roofing Company Prep Work
Before anything is removed from the old roof, the first step is the tarping of your home to protect your bushes and lawn from the debris, as well as the tarping of the siding area of your home to protect siding and windows from the removal process. Infinite Roofing also takes the step of moving valuables, like grills, away from the home so that they do not become accidentally damaged while reroofing is taking place.

Old Roof Removed
The old roof starts coming down! Shingles are removed quickly exposing the roof decking, enabling checks for any weak points in the decking. If weak points are found they can be replaced with new decking material. We recommend that during this process you either remain inside your home or go out for a few hours for your safety. If you like watching the work, we recommend waiting until after removal is complete.

Install Underlayments & Lay Shingles
6 feet of ice and water shield protection are laid down as well as synthetic underlayments to go under the new roof. After the underlayments are in place, the new roof shingles are laid and your new roof is put in to completion.

Clean Up & Due Diligence
After the roof is completed, your lawn area is cleaned up of any debris, the old roof materials removed via portable dumpster and the lawn is thoroughly covered with a magnetic roller to remove any nails so you don’t have to worry about anything.
Stage 4: After Roof Installation is Complete

Inspection & Walk Through
You'll be taken through a walk through with the project manager. Walk throughs are not required but are available for your satisfaction. Available immediately after the roof is done or can be scheduled for a convenient time.

Remaining Payment Due
With the job complete and roofing contract officially fulfilled, the remaining payment of 50% is now due. Acceptable payment options are via credit card, check, cash or ACH transfer.

Warranty Issued
Your in-house Infinite Roofing 10 year labor warranty is issued after job completion and your 50 year GAF Warranty arrives within 3 weeks if you opted to choose the extended warranty.
